The Most Logical Decision

It was around 9:30pm when I finally made the decision to sell everything and move to the Czech Republic. We had been living in Key West for the last 6 months, and in less than one month the United States would kick her out. From my perspective, the choice was simple, marry the girl and keep her here in the states or pack your stuff up and let's move to Europe. Now I am not one to just jump headlong into a marriage and hope for the best so the obvious answer became that it is time to start selling things and "get to movin".

A little about myself, I am a southern boy born and bred. Born in Houston Texas and Raised in Atlanta Georgia I have experienced the south fully and wholeheartedly. Some might say that hinders my ability to see the big picture sometimes, referencing the souths "horse blinding" conservative nature. This is true in some aspects, corporal punishment, 2nd amendment rights, and illegal substances I have very strong opinions on so please do not get me started. These few things I may get into yelling arguments over but because of my parents had a much more liberal viewpoint on the world I was able to avoid the "bible belt mentality" and see the world through a wider lens. This allows me to take a very natural stance on things such as religion, politics, and a slew of otherwise controversial topics.

So we bought tickets in the middle of the night that fateful Thursday not knowing any of the laws governing international travel, moving abroad, or any laws of the Czech Republic. All I knew at the time was A I loved this girl but getting married was not on the table and B I had heard Europe was a cool place to live. This was going to be a jump into the dark like nothing I had done before. Boy howdy, I was in for a wake-up call. This blog will be the chronicle of the adventures Alex and Tyna and their misadventures through Europe and the surrounding areas.
